Description
English: In situ photo of bog body Nederfrederiksmose Man, also known as Frederiksdal Man and Kragelund Man found on May 25th 1898 in Fattiggårdens mose near the village Kragelund, north west of Silkeborg, Denmark. The find dates to 1099 AD. This image was taken in 1898 during the excavation making it over 100 years old. It is the first known photo of a bog body.
Deutsch: Photo der Moorleiche Mann von Nederfrederiksmose währden der Ausgrabungen, auch als Frederiksdalmann oder Mann von Kragelund bekannt, die am 25. Mai 1898 im Fattiggårdens mose in der Nähe der Ortschaft Kragelund, nordwestlich von Silkeborg, Dänemark gefunden wurde. Der Fund datiert um 1099 n. Chr. Das Bild wurde 1898 bei den Grabungen aufgenommen und ist somit älter als 100 Jahre. Es ist das erste Foto das von einer Moorleiche bekannt ist.

Public domain This image is in the public domain in Denmark because the Danish Consolidated Act on Copyright of 2010 specifies (§91, 5) that all photographic images not considered to be "photographic works" that were created before 1 January 1970 are exempt from protection (details).
