Summary

Description
English: Natchitoches (YTB-799) heads across Charleston harbor with reporters and cameramen aboard. The media personnel are covering the return of the guided-missile destroyer USS Macdonough (DDG-39) and the guided-missile frigate USS Nicholas (FFG-47) to Naval Station Charleston, South Carolina. The two ships left Charleston on September 21, 1990, for the Persian Gulf, where they served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. DVIC photo # DN-ST-91-06712 (22 March 1991) , a US Navy photo by JO2 Oscar Sosa USN, now in the collections of the Defense Visual Information Center.
