English: The NS Kvinneorganisasjon (NSK) emblem featured a silver and red NS sun cross (sun wheel, solar cross) on a sky blue octagon with a silver outline.
User comment: The NSK emblem worn as a cloth patch insignia on the left upper arm of the NSK uniform tunic had the octagon positioned with its flat sides at the top, bottom, and sides, rather than rotated with a point upwards. On the other hand, it appears that the NSK's cap badge was designed as depicted in the digital drawing here.
NS Kvinneorganisasjon (NSK, 'The National Unity Women's Organization') was a special organization for women affiliated with Nasjonal Samling (NS, 'National Unity'), the fascist/nazi party in Norway before and during World War II. It grew during the war, had 16,029 members at its peak, and focused on NS ideology and propaganda. They held unique views on women's roles, combining homemaking with political involvement. Despite tensions with the Germans in German-occcupied Norway, they supported the war effort and collected resources from confiscated Jewish property. However, their influence within NS was limited, with only a few women in leadership positions.
