Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | Banknotes of the New Zealand dollar |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | To show an example of a New Zealand dollar note. |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
A drawing of it would not reflect the actual dollar note used in the current currency. Also, coins, which are currently being used in the article "New Zealand dollar", are not the same as dollar notes. Similarly, an older version of the notes (e.g. the Series 3 $20 note) is not at all similar to the current dollar notes, as this does not adequately show the plastic ellipse thing. Such a plastic ellipse thing among other aspects of the dollar note are very distinct compared to an older dollar note, particularly security enhancements. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | It is small in resolution and there is really no other place for this image other than that listed article above. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
The dollar note typically has that see-through plastic ellipse thing, but printing it out simply is not legitimate money. |
