| Description |
English: The Leavers machine is a lacemaking machine that John Levers adapted from Heathcoat's Old Loughborough machine. The original made net lace, but it was discovered in 1841 that a Jacquard apparatus allowed the production of lace complete with pattern, net and outline. |
