Attic black-figure eponymous (amphora) vase of the Nessos Painter; Perseus already departed while the beheaded Medusa collapses on the ground, her Sisters Sthele and Euryale fly above the sea in pursuit of Perseus. For head image see detail image; found at a tomb in Pireaos Str. in Athens; about 620/610 BC.
