Summary

Description

Map showing approximately where the closely related Berber languages Tumzabt, Teggargarent (Ouargla), and Oued Righ ("Temacine Tamazight") are spoken, according to the following map, based on A. Basset's data by L. Galand:

  • "Les Parlers Berbères", included in ed. Jean Perrot, David Cohen, Les langues dans le monde ancien et moderne: langues chamito-sémitiques, Editions CNRS: Paris 1988. Wilaya boundaries after Google Maps. The swathes of color need not be taken too literally - most of this area is uninhabitable desert, after all.
