English: An image of a clear blue lake inside of a cave surrounded by speleothems. Within the lake planks of wood can be found, which have earned the lake the name Mystery Lake. Prior to the completion of the Bagnell Dam in 1932, there was little to no water within the cavern. The now nearly 20ft deep pool most likely rose as a result of groundwater mounding caused by the Lake of the Ozarks.
