Description
English: Cropped from a scan at heritage auctions. With the comic strip's debut in 1907, Bud Fisher's Mutt and Jeff started on the road to becoming one of the most famous and successful comics of all time. In 1913, the first of what would eventually be nearly 350 animated cartoons featuring the mismatched duo was released; this series would run until 1926. The strip itself finally finished its newspaper run in 1982, after entertaining fans for an impressive 75 years. This rare one sheet from A Tropical Eggspedition has retained impressively bright color. Restoration has the poster displaying nicely, after touchup to the folds, extra vertical folds, edge wear along the bottom border, and a vertical tear in the top blue background (still slightly perceptible). Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
