English: Murusraptor is a megaraptoran theropod from Argentina. The only specimen is estimated to be 6.4 m in length, but as it is an immature individual, an adult Murusraptor would have been potentially larger. Once believed to be dromaeosaurids, megaraptorans have since been classified as either allosauroid carnosaurs or as tyrannosauroid coelurosaurs. While the discovery of Murusraptor does not clarify the placement of this group of theropods, the specimen does add clarity to some aspects of megaraptoran anatomy and potentially, eventual classification of the Megaraptora within the theropod evolutionary tree.
