Description
English: Diagram showing the bonding structure of peptidoglycan. An alternating chain of N-acetylmuramic acid (NAM) and N-acetylglucosamine (NAG) has oligopeptide chains forming crosslinks. The oligopeptides are bonded exclusively to the NAM and not the NAG.
