Se encuentra bajo el Georg-Brauchle-Ring, que es parte del sistema de la carretera de circunvalación de Múnich, conocido como "Mittlerer Ring". Fue inaugurado el 18 de octubre de 2003. El artista Franz Ackermann produjo una obra titulada "El gran viaje", compuesta de dos paredes de colores que adornan la estación.
