English: Mt. Isa Mines, Mt. Isa, Queensland: The high chimney in the right is for the lead smelter, the red-white chminey left marks the copper smelter. The Black Star Pb-Zn open pit mine is right of the lead smelter behind the ridge, just the dumps are visible. The shafts of the underground copper mine are behind the lead smelter chminey. The old prominent headframe in the central part of the image is not used anymore.
Deutsch: Mt. Isa Mines, Mt. Isa, Queensland: Der hohe Schornstein rechts markiert die Bleihuette, die rot-weisse Schornstein links die Kupferhuette. Der Black Star Pb-Zn Tagebau befindet sich rechts neben der Bleihuette, ist aber im Bild verdeckt. Die Foerdertuerme fuer die untertaegige Kupfergrube befinden sich hinter dem Schornstein der Bleihuette. Das alte Foerdergeruest in der Mitte des Bildes wird nicht mehr genutzt. |
