Summary

Description
English: Mt. Forbes Aiguille and the Forbes North Glacier from the normal bivy site. The aiguille is 3 kms away and the 2 U.S. climbers - from WI or MI, IIRC - are likely just over 2 kms away. They had, not unreasonably, used a static belay on the way to the summit and ran out of daylight on the way down and thus spent the night on the lower buttresses, sans tent. Our three-man running belay got us up and down on the same day, although we started later than they did and passed them at the bergschrund. All that's missing from the cropped photo is lots of blue sky and lots of glacier.
