The inscription reads: "MRS WOODFORD FAWCETT (OF TULSE HILL) MEMORIAL 3RD SEPTEMBER 1896" Much to Mrs Fawcett's chagrin no doubt, a thirsty passer-by would be better off looking for a local pub, although she might be heartened to see how many of them have closed in recent years. |
