English: The Moxie logo with the "Moxie Man", or "Moxie Boy" as he was originally known; this logo has appeared in several different colors and arrangements on and off since 1911, with an ad from 1922 noting- "in almost every town and city in the United States there is someone who believes they know the original of the Moxie Boy. In view of the many thousands of different opinions on this subject, we may offer a prize to the person who picks the actual boy, furnishing us photographic proofs, etc...the Moxie Boy, now a man (and some man at that), who posed for this picture many, many years ago, in fact before some of the readers of this article were born". The exact identity of the "Moxie Boy" is unknown, but it is believed to have been a John T. Chamberlain of Revere, Massachusetts, who modeled for the ad while working for its lithographer.
