English: "The fire fighters of Station No. 8, located just south of the corner of 20th Street & Mt. Vernon Avenue gather for a photograph. The Station is decorated in mourning for President William Mckinley whose photograph is beneath the flag. Mckinley was shot by Leon Czolgosz at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York on September 6th. On September 14, 1901, President McKinley died. The Engine House was at this location from ca. 1884 to April, 1968."
