Description
English: This JPEG image was created by Wiki user Aaroamal by digitizing a printed reproduction of the photograph in the S. N. D. P. Yogam Golden Jubilee Souvenir published in 1953. The original photograph was invariably published prior to the death of the subject Moorkoth Kumaran in 1941. In accordance with Section 25 of the Indian Copyright Act of 1957 and amendments thereto, the Term of Copyright in the case of a photograph, shall subsist until fifty (50) years from the beginning of the calendar year next following the year in which the photograph is published. The original photograph is therefore past the term restriction on reproduction and publication.

The Indian Copyright Act, 1957 is not retroactive, so any work in which copyright did not subsist when it commenced did not have its copyright restored, and is in the public domain per the Copyright Act 1911.
