Summary

Description
English: Factor by which the length of a quarter-wave monopole antenna must be reduced below a quarter wavelength () in order to be resonant (have pure resistive feedpoint impedance, no reactance). Since the factor is the same as for a half-wave dipole antenna, this is a copy of DipoleReductionFactor.jpg in SVG format with just the caption changed. Computed using the induced EMF method as described in Dipole antenna#Induced EMF method. At larger diameters, the approximations used by this method break down, where the graph becomes dashed.
