Summary

Description

A molecular sieve, which allows small molecules to pass through while trapping large molecules inside. Commonly used for dessicants. At right, see the top of the sieve which shows the small holes.

This is a new and improved illustration of a molecular sieve, showing its size (fixing Template:NoCoins) and showing the holes at the top. It is high resolution and uses a culturally neutral scale. This new version uses photography from me, which I release into the public domain for the betterment of humanity. :)
