Description
English: A six-fold hime (miniature-size) screen, painted in ink, colour and kirihaku on paper with 23 animals, the largest of which is a reclining elephant, whose massive body around which the smaller species gather, has been exaggerated to occupy most of the pictorial space, signed Gyokusen sha with seal Gyokusen, the reverse covered with brocade and decorated with chrysanthemums and peonies growing beside a stream. 16.1cm x 33.5cm (6¼in x 13 3/16in).
