Summary

Description
English: A generic missile stands in the center of the badge, so that no particular missile is represented. The vertical bands beneath the missile portrays vapor trails created by a missile during flight, a reminder of the lightning-quick speed with which it strikes. The horizontal “tricking” lines darken the background to represent the blackness of space, and the star cluster (comprising of four stars, two on either side of the missile) is indicative of both its aerospace role and the traditional stars and stripes associated with democracy. The hourglass shape signifies the weapon’s round-the-clock readiness. The wreath surrounding the badge signifies the operational designation of missile crews who perform a unique and critical aspect of missile duty. The star on top of the badge indicates those who have achieved "senior" status as a missileer.
