Description
English: Military Water Tower Part of Robert's Battery, one of the two 'Tyne Turrets' established to protect the north east coast after the German bombardment of Hartlepool in 1914. The other identical gun battery was at Lizard Point in Marsden, Durham (known as the Kitchener Battery).
