Description Fire in London: This engraving was published as Plate 35 of Microcosm of London (1808) (see File:Microcosm of London Plate 035 - Fire in London.jpg). Firefighters are tackling a fire which has broken out in houses at the Southwark end of Blackfriars Bridge. Note the teams of men operating the hand pumped engines.
