Description
Deutsch: Kupferstich aus Matthäus Merians Frühzeit aus einer Folge mit zwölf Blättern mit rheinischen Burgen zeigt den Drachenfels (mit noch unzerstörter Burg) und die noch vorhandene Burg Wolkenburg nahe Königswinter, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Rutschen zum Abtransport der Steine aus den Steinbrüchen sind gut zu erkennen. Die Abbildung von Burg Wolkenburg ist vermutlich die einzige mit einer gewissen Verlässlichkeit. Die früheste Ansicht des Drachenfels von der Rheinseite.
