English: A gold stater struck in Salamis under Menelaos c.310 BC at the Salamis mint featuring a stunning depiction of Aphrodite. On the obverse, the inscription MEN (for Menelaos) accompanies the draped bust of Aphrodite facing left, adorned with a turreted stephane, a triple-pendant earring, and a beaded necklace. Her hair is styled elegantly, rolled along her brow, and cascading behind her shoulders in waves. The reverse displays the Cypriot Syllabic character 𐠞, representing "king," alongside another draped bust of Aphrodite, wearing a crown with five semi-circular plates, a taenia, a beaded hoop earring, and a torque.
