Summary

Description
English: Mellis Common Mellis Common is Suffolk’s largest green stretching for about 2 miles along the quiet roads. The common is only grazed in places, but it is cut for hay each summer which maintains the open grassland. There are several ponds and moats. From spring through early summer much of the common is covered with a succession of wild flowers and tall grasses. The common is managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
