English: X-ray of an idiopathic megaesophagus in an Irish Setter. Note the ventral displacement of the heart, the dorsal rim of the oesophagus and the increased contrast of both the dorsal tracheal rim and the lung vessels. Signs of aspiration pneumaonia are present near the sternum, which was fatal in this case. Deutsch: Röntgenbild eines Megaösophagus bei einem Irish Setter. Beachte die nach ventral verschobene Herzsilhouette, die dorsale Begrenzung des Ösophagus und die Kontrastierung der dorsalen Tracheabegrenzung und der Lungengefäße. Sternumnah sind Zeichen einer (hier letztlich fatalen) Aspirationspneumonie erkennbar. Français : Radiographie d'un megaoesophage chez un Setter irlandais. Noter le déplacement ventral de la silhouette cardiaque, la marge dorsale de l'oesophage ainsi que le contrast augmenté de la marge dorsale de la trachée et des vaisseaux pulmonaires.
