English: Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) awarded to Mary Blythe Law in 1939 for Community Service (Services to the Blind) Comprises- breast badge and ribbon (bow) and original box with printed card silver badge (second type of badge) with heads of King George V and Queen Mary with "FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE", and crown verso above cypher GRI; on rose pink ribbon with pearl grey stripes either side; ribbon tied in bow box- shallow black case with hinged lid; lid marked in gilt- M.B.E.cream satin inside lid with printed (black) coat of arms of Royal Mint; dark cream velvet lining fitted for badge fastening card- Cream card printed in blue- "THE MOST EXCELLENT ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE" with instructions for wearing
