Notes Belgium Order of the Crown - Officer Lt Col. John Burns Ferguson (DSO, MC ED), Belgian Consul in Auckland Lt. Col. John Burns Ferguson, born on 27th April 1912, was the son of Alexander Manuel Ferguson and his wife Nessie (Agnes Marshall Ferguson) the daughter of John Burns. JB Ferguson inherited the role of Belgian Consul, Auckland from his father, who in turn took up the position in 1910 after it was relinquished by his father-in-law John Burns.
