A panel from Katsuji Matsumoto's 1931 manga, Poku-chan to ekaki no shenshe (ポクちゃんとエカキのシエンシエ, "Poku-chan and the Artist", published in the girls' magazine Shōjo Gahō (少女画報, "Girls' Illustrated"). Note the Art Deco influence.
The uploader, Matt Thorn, scanned the image from a copy of the original in the collection of the International Institute for Children's Literature, Osaka Prefecture. The copyright belongs to the estate of Katsuji Matsumoto, with whose permission this file has been uploaded.
