Summary

Description
English: Schematic view of the synthesis of Janus nanoparticles via masking. 1) Homogeneous nanoparticles are placed in or on a surface in such a way that only one hemisphere is exposed. 2) The exposed surface is exposed to a chemical 3) which change it's properties. 4) The masking agent is then removed releasing the Janus nanoparticles.
