Description
English: Situation around Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay in 1813, during the War of 1812. British Navy troops conducted raids on Maryland towns that could be accessed by water. British occupied Kent Island, and used it as a base for raids. They burned Havre de Grace, Georgetown, and Fredericktown. Baltimore, Annapolis, Easton, and St. Michaels were on alert.
