Description Lady Herring (with hat) looks on as Sir Edmund Herring, the new Chief Justice of Victoria, greets guests at an informal reception in his rooms. Major General C. E. M. Lloyd, CB CMG CVO DSO, Adjutant General, congratulates Sir Edmund on his appointment. Also seen on the left are Mr C. Z. Woinarski, Acting Associate to the Chief Justice and Mrs Woinarski.
