Føroyskt: Minnisvarði í Sandvík til minnis um rithøvundan Martin Joensen, sum var føddur og uppvaksin í Sandvík. Hann var føddur í 1902 og doyði í 1966. Martin Joensen var útbúgvin lærari og arbeiddi sum lærari meginpartin av sínum vaksna lívi. Hann var tó eisini til skips sum ungur, áðrenn hann fór at lesa til lærara.
