Summary

Description
English: The steam tugboat Martha, built in Williamsburg, New York, in 1862 by Lawrence & Foulks. Martha served during the American Civil War as the gunboat USS Violet. She was blown up to prevent capture in 1864. This is a cropped version of the painting.
