English: A drawing, made in graphite, of a public square (Market Place) on Market Stead Lane in Manchester, by the Scottish artist John Ralston (1789-1833). Groups of people go about their business, shopping at market stalls, and a number of buildings are detailed. This image was included in "Views of the Ancient Buildings in Manchester" (1823-1825), and was likely derived from an original sketch made on location by Ralston c.1821.

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or fewer.
You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States.
