DescriptionMardin prayer room Sultan Isa Medresesi 2431.jpg
English: The Sultan Isa Madrasa, also known as Zinciriye Madrasa among the people, has sliced domes at its eastern and western ends and a high monumental portal on its eastern side. The building, which covers a rectangular area, consists of a courtyard, mosque, tomb and various additional spaces on two floors. When you enter through the portal, a section covered with a star vault is reached. On the west, there is a corridor that opens to the courtyard with the mosque. In the middle of the mosque space in the south of the corridor, there is a dome with muqarnas and squinches. The surrounding of the mihrab is embroidered with inlaid motifs. The pulpit is made of cut stone. From the iwan in the west of the courtyard, one passes to the space covered with a dome, which is understood to be a tomb. The upper floor consists mostly of small room spaces. These are the chambers of the people who once studied in the madrasah.
