Summary

Description
English: Exterior view of the 300 kW transatlantic wireless telegraphy station built in 1916 by the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co at Carnarvon, Wales. This was the most powerful spark radio transmitter ever built, transmitting commercial radiotelegraphy traffic by Morse code on a frequency of 21.5 kHz at a rate of 200 words per minute to receivers in Tuckerton, New Jersey and the RCA Radio Central station, Long Island, New York. The photo shows the 32 feedlines feeding power from the transmitter to the huge 3,600 ft 32 wire flattop antenna suspended between 400 ft towers.
