View eastward, towards Ely: ex-GE London, Cambridge etc., Ely - March, Peterborough and Spalding etc. main lines. The curious Summer Saturdays 11.10 from Clacton had come via Colchester, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Ely and would proceed via Peterborough East and Rugby to Birmingham. Its motive power this day was very strange - for details see TL4197 : March station, with a Stanier 'Black 5' - unusual in 1958 - on eastbound parcels train.
