English: The March 7, 1970 total solar eclipse during totality as photographed from Virginia Beach, Virginia. The original image was shot on 35mm Kodak Tri-X Pan film, using a 400mm telephoto lens, by James R. Guilford. The negative of this image was digitally scanned and this picture produced in December 2020. Traces of two solar prominences may be visible along the dark rim of the eclipsed Sun. |
