Description
Français : Les carrières de marbre des Pyrénées ont été ouvertes et exploitées par les Romains. Elles ont été ré-ouvertes à la Renaissance et certains de ces marbres ont été utilisés pour les palais royaux comme le Louvre ou Versailles.
English: Pyrenean marble quarries were opened and exploited by the Romans. They were reopened during the Renaissance, and some of these marbles were used in royal palaces such as the Louvre and Versailles.
