English: Photos taken during an expedition to the Manda Beds in 1963. The top left shows Alan Charig and Alfred ‘Fuzz’ Crompton during the excavation of NHMUK R36620, holotype of Mambawakale ruhuhu. The bottom right image shows the local Tanzanians who discovered the locality and fossils within them.
