Svenska: Malmös kommunvapen sedan 1437.

Blasonering: Sköld: I silverfält ett rött, med gyllene krona krönt griphuvud. Krest: På hjälmen samma bild samt i kronan ett knippe strutsfjädrar av silver.

Denna blasonering är från 1947 i originalblasoneringen (på danska) från 1437 är strutsfjädrarna i hjälmprydnaden omväxlande av silver och röda. Det är även dessa färger som används (trots blasoneringen) i dagens vapen.
