English: Male statuette, Sumerian worshipper, from the Sin Temple IX at Khafajah (ancient Tutub), Diyala Region, Iraq. Early Dynastic Period, 2600-2350 BCE. Excavated by the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago in the 1930s. On display at the Iraq Museum in Baghdad, Iraq. The statuette was headless when it appeared in the publication "More Sculpture from the Diyala Region" by Henri Frankfort. |
