Description
English: A makunouchi, a type of Japanese bentō (lunch box). On the right is Hinomaru style rice. It symbolizes the flag of Japan. It consists of gohan (steamed white rice) with a red umeboshi (dried ume) in the center which represents the sun.
日本語: 幕の内弁当。右は日の丸スタイルのご飯。白米と梅干は日本の旗を象徴しています。弁当箱に詰めた飯の中央に副食として梅干し1個だけを乗せたもので、日本の国旗(日の丸)のデザインに似ていることが名の由来である。
