English: Children in Myanmar can become novices and then monks at a very young age. The monastery provides education and teaches the children fundamental moral values.
Despite what many non-buddhist people think, the children can spend as much time as they want in a monastery. After that, they can go on with their studies in public schools and universities, find a job or have a family.
