English: Original of telegram sent by radio from SS Makambo to the Superintendent of Navigation with the first news of the fate of the SS Canastota the discovery of flotsam at Lord Howe island on 1 August 1921. The handwritten annotation appears to read, "Seen - Inform agents & press & and arrange for Mister[?] Parkes shipping representative to attend at this office the inquiry at most expedient[?] time̪[?]. F.C 2.8.21." F.C. is Fergus Cummins, Superintendent of Navigation
