| Description |
English: The elevator at the back of the entrance to the Yankees–East 153rd Street Metro-North station at the south end of Ruppert Plaza and Macombs Dam Park, at the intersection of Ruppert Plaza (Ruppert Place), East 157th Street, and East 153rd Street in Concourse, Bronx. The station was opened in 2009 and would have located next to old Yankee Stadium, but the stadium was closed the year prior. The station's name (East 153rd Street) is deceptive, as it makes it seem far from the stadium (East 161st Street), but East 153rd Street diagonals southeast from here towards Grand Concourse near East 149th Street, then assumes its normal place in the street grid. |
