Former description: "Portrait of George Villiers, 1. Duke of Buckingham (1592–1628). Circa 1618.

Our thanks to Prof. Karen Hearn for identifying the sitter as George Villiers / Our thanks to Sabine Craft-Giepmans of RKD, The Hague, who has suggested the attribution to Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn on the basis of a photograph and dates the work to circa 1618." [1]
